I constantly debate whether my email signature needs to state whether I’m an Associate versus a Partner/Shareholder. Everyone else in my firm has a title in their emails, but I can’t help feeling it’s a bit pretentious.

What says Lemmy? Let email readers know exactly where I stand in my firm? Or is it sufficient to just say “OrangeNGreen, Attorney at Law”?

I don’t think it matters, but you know the people you work with. If you get that feeling, perhaps it just reinforces what you already feel about some of them.

Whatever your job title is. I have 2 sigs 1 for internal emails where is is just my name and an external one where I have name, title, company contact details.
