Worth noting that enlistment numbers have been dropping steadily since the Iraq War and all the nakedly manipulative, creepy, and cynical recruitment tactics haven’t changed that.
This is sick, diseased shit, but it isn’t particularly effective. No more than two decades of Transformers / Marvel movies sponsored by these dorks or a battalion of recruiters trying to hit people up via gamer lobbies.
For every e-girl twerking to Grand Old Flag, there’s a dozen channels of actual veterans showing their stumped limbs and melted faces and talking about what a hellish stupid ugly job an enlisted soldier has.
Didn’t the last Army sponsored gaming stream get raided and dunked on by anti-war protestors?
Yeah. And then if I remember right, hilariously, a court said that the Army violated federal law by banning people from it.

US military has been failing to hit it’s recruitment targets for years now. Mostly because American young people are too fat/insane/depressed/addicted to drugs to pass the basic physical and mental requirements, and not because of based reasons. It’s like only 20% of that age range is potentially healthy enough to serve which is kind of insane. Hope we won’t need to fight a big war soon lol
Maybe they think they can trick horny teenagers into getting into shape and joining the military if they believe there is some hot gurl waiting for them. I doubt it.
