Just because you feel strongly against something it does not mean someone is being paid or a bot is posting said information.
Some in America are for the 1st Amendment.
Where we are free to have different opinions not just the status quo.
Instead of saying misinformation you can help by posting articles or information that contradicts the post, so people can use their criticial thinking capabilities and decide for themselves.
Twitter posts are not the best sources to have, so people are encouraged to share information that may help understand the posts!
Thanks for staying criticial and questioning posts!
I’m not a government agency so what does the 1st have to do with me?
This was to point out that many act like they are for it, until things they do not agree with or people that don’t think like they do come along.
That was a generic statement of our systematic problems we face in the US.
Censorship is seen in social media and the like, so as to do the bidding of the gov’t and the owner class.
I was pointing out that you might be confused with what the first amendment was because the way you used it didn’t and still doesn’t make sense.
Ah, you may be right then, I used it incorrectly.
I was trying to point out the systematic problems we face with censorship and the 1st Amendement, but I did a poor job, hahaha
Thanks for pointing it out!
My statement wasn’t a first amendment thing because I’m not a government agent or agency and it wasn’t censorship because I wasn’t censoring you.
It was engaging with your content and having you accuse me of untrue things which in a hilariously hypocritical way is censorship.
Then we are both wrong in what we said, because it seems you tried doing the same thing.
No there’s a difference but I’ll leave it for you to figure out.
Some lessons hit harder when you have to put the work in to learn them.
All is good, thanks for being criticial of my way of wording and viewing the world!
I hope you continue to be criticial of me and other things you see in the internet!
If you aren’t a bot you are at least not terribly good at filtering out obvious misinformation.
The first amendment may protect you from government retaliation… But it doesn’t protect you from someone pointing out you probably need to fact check your sources and exercise some critical thinking before spreading twitter disinformation on another platform.
It isn’t the job of others to clean up after your mess. Additionally you appear to have sourced that garbage from twitter. If you acknowledge it is a poor source why post it here?
I am not filtering anything from what I see on twitter.
I may post many things that will get downvoted, I am not here to appeal to the people, I am here to share information that is not seen.
In this case I was showing the video of a bombing.
I am hopeful in people being able to use their critical thinking capabiliites and not take everything they see in the internet at face value.
Thank you for bringing up great points and I hope you continue to question and be criticial of all that is on the internet!
Then you are no better than a bot and are contributing to misinformation spreading. Both are bad: one is undeniably worse.
You see it one way, I see it another way.
All is good, have a great day!
If you share something then you are in essence supporting what was posted as fact. A brief glance at your history shows a bias and to be frank- if you believe yourself to be contributing you may want to reevaluate.
I disagree, must I also put “RT & links aren’t endorsements.” on my profile… (This is a joke.) also, let me add: /s
You are welcome to continue to think as you like, all is good!
Explain why someone would need to dig into your profile to validate information you, yourself, are spreading? You aren’t providing a service.
No one is expected to or forced to view my profile, criticial thinking capabilities would help to use a search engine if they are inclined to look further into random information or posts on social media, forums.
They can also ask questions and maybe other helpful people can answer or agree with criticism of said information.
I agree, I do not get paid or provide a service.
There is a quote I can’t find but it goes something like this. When someone brings up the first amendment in an argument they are admitting they don’t have anything remotely redeeming to say, but damnit, they have a right to say it anyway.
You may be right!
Feel free to share the quote when you find it!
