It makes sense for Xavier to drop everything but I also feel like they could’ve held off on bringing him back for longer without needing to explain his abscense, he’s far away from Earth after all.

Also, maybe this is a fault of pacing but the way he immediately dropped everything, on the verge of stopping an authoritarian space empire from being evil and told his fiance to go kick rocks cause he got more important shit to do kinda cracked me up lol.
