Listen, you all have got this emoji shit locked in. They are the best part of the website. I know it’s just image markdown, and I have a bunch of them saved locally, but they all appear Embiggened when I do it. Is that supposed to happen? How do I fix it? I am not that educated on markdown syntax.
This is the markdown for this particular emoji:
![aubrey-happy](https://hexbear.net/pictrs/image/b135cff4-1761-4e81-aea6-effdb17245b3.png "emoji aubrey-happy")
OH! ok. I had completely misunderstood I think. You don’t upload your own image to use, but its the image on the hexbear server along with the rest of the stuff. That’s what I think I’ve been doing wrong… Is there anywhere I can see all of that, like a directory of urls? I don’t get them in my emoji selector here, just the lemmygrad ones.
Oh yeah, and you can repeat Hexbear emojis from, well, Hexbear.
So copy-paste them.
So like I’ve got this fella, I’m pretty sure he’s hexbear native:
(linux-sicko)
but he’s huge. I don’t think he’d show up that big if you used him.
edit: see my other reply, I think I have been doing it all wrong…woops
Maybe, maybe not.
Might depend on the emoji.
Go to emojis in your comment bar.
If you add ‘emoji’ to the markdown title, it will use the emoji size instead of the larger image size, for cross-instance image posting
Small: ![aubrey-happy](https://hexbear.net/pictrs/image/b135cff4-1761-4e81-aea6-effdb17245b3.png "emoji aubrey-happy") Large: ![aubrey-happy](https://hexbear.net/pictrs/image/b135cff4-1761-4e81-aea6-effdb17245b3.png "aubrey-happy")
