Unfortunately, COVID kept setting off the dang Pandemic Alarm so they just pulled the battery out…
the current risk to the public remains low.
They’re trying to keep people calm. This has major “you don’t need to wear a mask” vibes we saw at the beginning of covid.
Or maybe idk I’m conflicted
Covid 20 is coming
Corvid 19
you hush up that anti raven bigotry
HPAI A(H5N1) virus infections have been reported in more than 890 people with approximately 50% case fatality proportion since 1997, including 20 cases and 7 deaths in Hong Kong during 1997-2003, and more than 870 cases reported in 22 countries since November 2003.
Just takes a couple mutations to become a nightmare scenario. We are playing Russian roulette with nature.
50% case fatality! That’s huge! That’s the same as Ebola.
Yeah that’s a really fucking scary number. If it finds a way to transmit super easily, incubate for a couple weeks, or both…no idea what we would do.
Yeah, and based on how a lot of people reacted to covid, we’d be so, so fucked. Like, it would actually probably be an apocalyptic scenario. Society would collapse.
I hope it turns people into human bird hybrids like the Corvians in DS3
