With the impending release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, there could be a lot of discussion around the game. To ensure that we remain fair and open for people who either are still playing the game upon release or have yet had chance to play it, we’re going to introduce a period of embargo on new threads. These rules for new threads will only apply to VII Rebirth and all other games will still be allowed to be discussed. This will be how it works. Separate “Megathreads” will be created for the demo and final launch respectively. These threads will be your place to discuss the games and where spoilers will be permissible. If you do not want to see spoilers, avoid these threads, they will be labelled with [Spoilers]. These will be in place until 4 weeks after the release of the game, after which any new threads with spoilers should be labelled as such with [Spoiler] or [Spoilers]. Do not post spoilers in the titles of your posts, even if you do have the relevant labels. Please be respectful of other gamers and community members during this time. Normal rules will still apply. ### What if I post anyway? Posts will be removed and repeat offenders will be deemed as flagrantly breaking rules and banned for increasing amounts of times. This includes with comments that aim to spoil the game for others. ### We already know what happens, we’ve played the OG! This is a new game where we’re not even certain how close it sticks to the OG game. There are going to be differences and new story elements regardless. We don’t even know how that scene will unfold. ## TL;DR: Embargo is in place from today until EOD 28th March to avoid spoilers. Megathreads will be created for demo and final release. From 29th March onwards, spoiler tags are required. We may update this thread with more clarification and information in the future
