In response to another racist trying to dismiss Putin’s pointing out how the West is sympathetic to Nazis as “boomer nonsense”

“Putin bad because he isn’t racist and homophobic enough” is a hell of a take, considering how most westerners think he’s literally Hitler 2.0 at this point.

Nazi crackers trying to make themselves believe that white people in the West are genuinely oppressed is hilarious

This doesn’t surprise me. While it is true that some neofascists like Putin, many others despise him, nicknaming him ‘Jewtin’ and accusing him of being a closeted homosexual.

Yeah, the way they were posting pictures of Putin with rainbow colors, lipstick, etc was pretty gross. It’s like they are incapable of introspection.

They say, “I support LGBT rights, see my flag? I was making fun of Putin because HE’S homophobic, not me! Posting this has no reflection on MY thoughts about homosexuals!”

Meanwhile, these jokes contain the same homophobic and transphobic content they were using to oppress others only 10 years ago (if even that long.) It’s the same as when they call Russians “orcs” and Xi “Winnie the Poo”, but swear it’s not racism.

These people are just waiting for excuses to spew their hatred in a context where others won’t call them out on it because it’s socially acceptable among their peers. They long for the “good ol’ days” and “don’t see color” while denying the impact of white supremacy and their complicit participation.

I hadn’t seen the “Jewtin” one before. That’s even more mask-off.

Putin with rainbow colors, lipstick, etc

Pretty sure those were posted with claims of being banned in Russia, so it was a russophobic version of the “tiny man square” copy pasta

And then they’ll really sit there and wonder why people like me refuse to cede them trust or brotherhood. I see shit like what they do to Putin, to Jinping, to Jong Un, and all I can think is, “if Kwame Ture existed in this day and age, y’all’d be pushing a photomanip of him as a gorilla, wouldn’t you? If Sankara was still with us, you’d have rendered him as a chimpanzee in a French beret, wouldn’t you? Don’t tell me you wouldn’t, you do it to EVERYONE you consider an enemy.”

These are not allies worth having. They aren’t even neighbors worth having.

Nobody in Eastern Europe thought of themselves as “white” before the concept of whiteness was picked up from the Americans. Before people just identified by nationality and maybe in a vague sense with their broader ethno-linguistic group (slavic, turkic, etc.), though even that was not always the case. “Whiteness” is a nonsensical, artificial concept imported from the West that lumps together people who historically very much would not have appreciated being lumped together.

It still does not have sense outside USA, even in such a racist country like Poland the word is used 100% cases just about skin colour with predictable variations for the users. Same probably goes for “black” if we asked Africans and so on.

Fascists often have more accurate analysis than liberals, it’s just that their goals are diametrically opposed to ours. Where the liberal says “there is no inequality and oppression inherent in the system” the fascist says “yes there is and that’s good, we should have more of that” (as long as it’s directed against the ever expanding out-group).

That being said, their analysis here is still pretty poor. They say that Putin should embrace white identitarianism and ethno-nationalism while in the same post acknowledging that Russia is a diverse multi-ethnic country. Well what happens to that kind of country if suddenly the government starts to push some ethno-supremacist shit? It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that’s a recipe for social conflict, separatism, unrest, and eventually civil conflict and almost certain breakaway of ethnic minority regions.

This isn’t so much an ideological question for Putin and Russia, it’s a pragmatic one. If you want to keep your country together you won’t tolerate racism at the government level. Same goes for foreign policy, if you want to align yourself with the global south, which Russia must necessarily do, you’d better not alienate them by talking like “Jungle Josep” Borrel.
