I usually avoid them because of the mark-up, but yesterday I was in the mood for a soda and didn’t feel like going into a store and interacting with the cashier, so I bought one out of a vending machine. I recently bought a water bottle at a vending machine inside Costco for .25 cents. I was thirsty. I like the idea of vending machines, especially the ones in Japan that serve quick meals, and wish that was more commonplace in the US.
