Are you prone to switching out of the calm, logical, and reserved robot mode, and becoming excited, chaotic, and silly? I definitely spend more time in the former, but value the expression of the latter highly.

In terms of MBTI, these would be expressions of the 2 most dominant cognitive functions of us INTP, introverted thinking (Ti) and extroverted intuition (Ne). It is important for me to have freedom to express the Ne side of myself, but it definitely doesn’t please everyone, and it can be difficult to find people who will have fun and play along with you to your hearts content. It is definitely possible to express Ne alone, generating ideas and possibilities for problems or projects of your own. But when used for comedy and absurdity, it really is so much fun to engage in.

How do you meet this need, if it is something you consider important? If you don’t consider it important, why not?

Been a while since I checked here and it seems pretty quiet, but I definitely have a chaotic/silly side despite an adherence to logic and reason. To that end in addition to considering myself a Stoic, I am also a card-carrying pope of Discordianism. For every act of order, there is an equal and opposite action of chaos that must enter the world. I do my part in keeping that chaos fun.

It is one of the reasons my overriding motto is “in all things, logic… And cookies. Those are good too”.
