A decade ago was almost 2014. Bethesda’s gane design was dated nearly two decades ago if we’re being honest

Definitely. Shown by all the mechanics that have somehow digressed: stealth, meaningful random encounters, better bounty systems, innovative combat (e.g., VATS), etc.

Fallout 3 Originally Released in 2008 and while not ‘game breaking’ if you’d pardon the pun - it was service-able. Starfield really doesn’t feel any better than Fallout 3. It’s the same amount of content with more empty space in between. I will say that the writing was better back then but maybe that’s nostalgia.

I haven’t seen anything like the Ant-agonizer vs the Mechanist in terms of originality in Starfield.

2004 would be between Oblivion (2006) and Morrowind (2002) which were quite a bit more player unfriendly.

Exactly what was wrong with it. I had a good time, but it wasn’t Mass Effect levels of fun for me. Starfield was bigger, had more to do, and took the same amount of time to get through as the ME trilogy (120ish hours), but it was just… Hollow.

Games like Starfield are proof gamers will only accept the bitter pill of newness, if it is surrounded by the over processed familiarity of old cheese.

Great video, great guy. Always happy to see a Nakey Jakey video! It feels like he’s the only one who really sees how things are. Its too bad consumers accept video games as they are right now.

Considering how expensive they’re getting, I certainly started to wait a couple of days/weeks before purchasing anything now.

With the current state of the industry, it’s saved both my time & money several times this year (unfortunately). Too many games I was excited for turned out to be unoptimised rubbish.

Same! I have been very happy since becoming more patient with buying games after release. Has saved me money too!

Social Media especially when it comes to gaming is a hivemind. FO3, 4 and Skyrim at the time were amazing and still are (FO4 and Skyrim still have quite high playercounts in steam). Starfield isn’t great but this doesn’t take away from other games.
