In addition to lower citywide parking requirements on residential properties, a proposed law in Phoenix would lower minimum parking requirements even further for affordable housing developments near the city’s light rail system.
Having watched several of these “Texas Donut” or 5-over-1 style apartments get built on, or just off of Central recently it amazes me how much space they have to dedicate to parking, even though they are right on the light rail. I am for anything that lowers those requirements.
