    Well it must have been hard to not be at least a little jealous. He had no way of knowing that nin was going to be so popular and so important when he left. Most musicians would kill for filter’s success but for Richard he would always be aware that nin was significantly more successful.

      Did he ever hear the songs he was playing? Everyone everywhere knew they were hearing something special the first time they heard NiN.

        Sure but there are a lot of people who make innovative music and they don’t get popular. I’m a big fan of the legendary pink dots. I think they’re incredibly innovative but they’ve never been popular.
