Donald Trump has placed himself at further risk of losing control of properties such as his Mar-a-Lago resort following his testimony in the New York civil fraud trial, according to an attorney.

Speaking on a podcast hosted by Mary Trump, niece and frequent critic of the former president, Joe Gallina suggested things “could not have gone worse” for Trump after he answered questions under oath about his financial statements on Monday.

Trump is accused by New York Attorney General Letitia James of filing fraudulent financial records for years which inflated the value of his properties and assets in order to obtain favorable bank loans and tax breaks. Trump denies all wrongdoing in connection to James’ $250 million lawsuit.

Judge Arthur Engoron, who is overseeing the civil trial in New York, has already ruled that Trump had committed fraud by misrepresenting the value of his properties for years. The civil trial is now considering six remaining allegations in James’ lawsuit, as well as the size of the penalty.

I’ve been reading “Trump is gonna be done any day now” articles since he started gaining steam in the 2016 GOP primaries. Fucker’s still free and currently leading the incumbent president in presidential polls.

This shit moves slowly, especially considering the political ramifications.

In other news, I’m getting my kids for Thanksgiving week. 4-years after my ex took them. When we finally got to trial, the judge stomped a mud hole in her ass. 4-years for justice.

        tl;dr Hang in there.

Just remember, don’t talk shit about their mom to them. Let them see the reality for themselves. Play the long game like you’ve been doing so far.

I thought I saw another Newsweek headline earlier about how he ‘might not lose his businesses afterall’ and am now about 50/50 on whether all the edging is just setting up to a big ruin.

Damned sad. When I was a teen, and into my early 20s, I had a Newsweek subscription. Ya know, when they would send a sort of large, thin, glossy book full of the latest news. And it was considered top-notch journalism. Crazy times back then.

Like so many lousy things, Reagan was a part of it. He started destroying the Fairness Doctrine and helped create the Right Wing AM radio empires.

For real, this article is just ‘someone on a podcast said…’

This NY court doesn’t have jurisdiction over his Florida property. It’s like if there’s a massive fine and if he can’t pay it some other way then he might have to sell Mar-a-Lago to pay it.

Don’t get me wrong, I hope the trial ruins him and his turd kids, but that’s a lot of ifs and a weird thing to write an article about.

I miss the days when most of the news was fact based and opinion pieces were clearly marked as such.

Yeah; it just happened to be on my new tab page for work. I miss when Newsweek was actually news. :(

Edit: and I found the source of the clickbaity headline; the article is just talking about the appeal.
