Currently the side bar allows you to see different feeds including the front page of every community you’ve subscribed to, everything in your account’s local instance (in my case, lemmy.world), and federated - all instances.

It would be cool to open specific instances in the app. Just like how I can browse my local instance, I want to browse other “local” instances. It will help in discovering new communities across the federation.
