if you voted for Trump, you are forever cut off from the Blessings of Liberty… you are not, and never will be fellow citizens of mine… i will not defend any of you or your offspring from even the most basic harm… you are enemies living among us for the rest of your lives…

I can’t get on board with “all your offspring”. Some of the worst violators of human rights do that, like China, Russia, and North Korea. It is never fair to hold children accountable for the wrongs of their parents.

I 100% agree with the rest, though.

i understand your position, and i don’t disagree… but i include the language specifically so that they will take it seriously… i don’t think they will otherwise…

What if I voted for Trump in ‘16 and have since had the scales fall from my eyes and want him locked up in the arctic as much as the next guy? Am I still your enemy?

it’s a fair question, i guess we’ll see… but in general, i expect every one of you to fuck up as soon as you get the chance… you say the scales fell from your eyes… that’s poetic, i like that… you all have a ready excuse… your problem was thinking you had eyes to begin with… you’re all as blind and ignorant as possible, and i don’t expect that to change…

tell me the Penance you voluntarily did for causing January 6th

In no way did I cause what happened on January 6. I’m arguably not responsible for Trump taking office in ‘16, even if I did vote for him, because of the electoral college nonsense. More people voted for Clinton than for Trump, but he still won the election; does that seem like a fair system in which the individual people participating actually have any control or influence? If the people participating in a system have no more say in its outcome than those riding a rollercoaster, how responsible can they be? I could have voted for Clinton in ‘16, but I lived in Georgia at the time, so I’m confident my county would have come out in favor of Trump regardless of my vote.

Sure if zero people voted for Trump in ‘16 then he wouldn’t have taken office, but that’s all beside the point. A bunch of individual people made the decision to storm the White House on Jan. 6 because they have that sovereignty to make their own decisions for themselves; you and I may disagree with the decision they made, but no one else can be blamed or forced to take responsibility for something another distinct and separate human being did.

Look, these fuckers are incredibly dangerous, impede anything good, inflict great harm & as the foot soldiers of terrible ideologies could end us all. Defending ourselves & everything good against them is paramount, and protecting those who are more vulnerable even more so.

But, for so long as they remain alive, terrible people retain the potential to change into ok people. Sure, statistically the chances are low, but that tells us nothing about any given individual. So whilst their targets have to give them the widest possible berth for their own safety, and could not be criticised for declining to help a Trumper (or others in the same vein), when they are being dealt with they should still be dealt with humanely and fairly. If we’re face to face, with no support, all bets are off, but once their behaviours are contained they should be treated as one would treat any incredibly damaged creature - with caution, yes, but never cruelty.

Otherwise we become transformed by hate of their hatreds & attacks into something a bit less like ourselves, and a lot more like them.

As for their offspring, leave them out of it. Saw your point about merely trying to get the Trumpers to pay heed, but it already seems many have a very strange sense of “care” for their children, whereas others are so delusional they believe the libs & left are already intent on harming their kids. Plus the statement is ideal for them to use terrify their children about the perils of non-Trumpers.

I don’t mean to seem like I’m having a go at you. Your rage & disgust are valid.

This is potentially the cringiest thing I’ve read today. Perhaps this week? Trump voters are your family and countrymen. The majority aren’t totally awful people but have been taken advantage of by insidious propaganda machines. The people are never your enemy. It is the autocrats, the fascists, the despots.

There’s no reason with a Trump supporter, there’s no educating one either. It’s not just trump, it’s the republican party. They need to go. Terrible humans fueled by hate and stupidity. That entire party lives without consequence. They do something terrible and it blows up in their face? They blame somebody else. It’s time for them to realize there are consequences for your actions.

And that’s a stupid position & makes you almost as bad as the people you proclaim to hate. My mom supported #Trump, I think he should be fired into the sun. There are millions of us in the exact same position. Quit trying to be edgy.
