Surely any reasonable person can see there’s a difference between even defending Israel’s existence and justification for every oppressive action they take, right?!
“Israel” cannot exist without said oppression. For all intents and purposes defending their existence is defending their system of apartheid and genocide, and vice versa. And the western supporters of “Israel” know this, which is why they fully support its brutality.

Israel is an apartheid state (and arguably a genocidal one as well) funded by the US and Hamas is a terrorist organization. Both are wrong and shouldn’t exist. Would ending the occupation and creating a Palestinian state magically fix everything that’s wrong with the relationship between Israel and Palestine? No, but it would at least be two small steps towards healing.
But as I’ve said before with three religions claiming important fiction from their religion happening in the same place peace is unlikely. I don’t think even handing over control of Temple Mount to NATO and permanently stationing NATO troops there to unbiasly let Jews, Christians and Muslims in to Temple Mount would fix anything.
At this point I think the middle east pot has been stirred so thoroughly by world super powers there is no unstirring it. Now we all just have to eat the shit stew and hope it doesn’t make us too sick.
