    There’s an agreement that the Palestinian security forces step aside and let this happen? I admittedly lack the knowledge base to speculate as to what’s going on over there, but that fact certainly stands out as peculiar.

      Actually this brings up a question of mine here on Lemmy… does a downvote mean:

      A) I dislike this content B) I dislike your source or article

      Like on Reddit, we’d upvote news, even bad news because the OP brought us a news story we were unaware of and we appreciated that. If we didn’t like their source, biased reporting or pushing an agenda, we’d downvote.

      However, here it’s not karma driven. Does that change the mechanics?
