    I feel like a nerd that my first thought was “but the strip was originally named Lil Folks this doesn’t make any sense”.

      It does kind of make sense if you know Schultz was from Minnesota and Minnesotans call all little kids “peanut”

      So, “Lil Folks” to “Peanuts” is a really logical choice and people from the upper Midwest might not even notice the difference!

        Nah. It was a named forced on him that referenced the “peanut gallery” and he always kind of hated it. But eventually he felt like he had to stick with it.
