If you’re worried that J.J. Abrams will eventually reboot every movie you loved when you were younger, well we’ve got some bad news…

I’m torn on this. Krull is both one of worst movies ever, and left a legacy that remains with us today. It imprinted the idea of the thrown glaive firmly into the imagination every adolescent boy who grew up during the 80s, which has led to the virtual slaughter of countless cloned soldiers, corporate drones, and infested mutations as those boys grew up to be video game developers.

Can JJ Abrams top this kind of a legacy? I’m uncertain, but I do know that regardless of his effort, he can’t make Krull worse, and he can’t make the glaive cooler than what Warframe has done with it.

I dare you to watch Krull. You could redub the entire dialogue with the Chipmunks, overlay it with a house beat and cover half the screen with gambling ads in Hindi and it would still be a better movie than the original.

Krull isn’t bad. It’s not good, but it’s not “bad.” You want to see the tip top bad of this genre? Watch “Ator: The Fighting Eagle.” THAT is a bad movie…walk out of the theater bad movie (which is exactly what I did).

If you’re going to watch “Ator: The Fighting Eagle,” watch the MSTK 3000 version of it on Netflix. I think it’s still available. At least then you get a laugh out of it.
