    1. I don’t know anything besides that it’s quite prevalent. It’ll become more natural with more immersion.
    2. Yes, you need the progressive form here. The problem is that 結婚する means to get married and therefore refers to the specific event and not the “state” of being married (for which you need the progressive form).
