A senior Russian general in command of forces in occupied southern Ukraine says he was suddenly dismissed from his post after accusing Moscow’s Defense Ministry leadership of betraying his troops by not providing sufficient support.

I can’t recall the name of the general Prigozhin wanted fired. I’m too lazy to check. Was this the one?

    He said he was after Shoigu who’s head of the Ministry of Defense.

    The general this article is about, Ivan Popov, was fired by Shoigu and has accused him of treason. It sounds like this general sided with Prigozhin.
