I’m mainly referring to two different shows, The Pitt and The Bear. Both feature realistic (well 99% realistic) representations of the portrayed workplace, and usually involve a lot of yelling, stress etc. While normal shows about these places will involve those things, they’re usually not the main focus.

Idk, I like that The Pitt is realistic for a lot of reasons. But I just can’t watch it. I’m stressed enough as is, I don’t need secondhand stress from an ER.

I haven’t watched these shows, but I think I know what you’re referring to. I felt super stressed watching Uncut Gems. I liked the movie a lot, but I really don’t want to watch it again. I feel like the second time I watched it was even more stressful than the first, and that was more than enough for me.

Well, knowing the ending of that movie (spoiled in a compilation) before watching the film, I would say that

      spoiler

it was basically ‘Death of A Salesman’ levels of fumble and error, that leads to the inevitable conclusion, but at least the gamble actually paid out.

      🤷 So who’s to say it’s a bad thing? / s
