As I’m sure many of you can imagine, I have a lot of devices in my collection (working and not working, as I sometimes need to test-fit prototypes of custom parts or mods). Heck, a few of my collection have long since been discontinued by this point (Indica vaporizer, Pax1, Grasshopper, VapeXhale Cloud+, Mistvape, etc)

Anyway, I’m looking to grab another portable. But I can’t keep up with all the new devices. I’m looking more at the popular budget to mid-priced devices. Thinking about grabbing an Xlux Roffu, although I’m open to suggestions.

Yes, I know S&B is working on releasing a new portable vaporizer in the near future but I’m not waiting for that to drop. (I already have both a crafty and a mighty in my collection lol).

Have you worked on a ball vape kit? I’m the east coast us distributor for Qaromashop. The Taroma Lite Plus has a few accessories but more customs stuff would be dope!

I’ve toyed with ball vapes in their infancy long ago, but I don’t have one in my personal kit yet. What sort of accessories were you thinking about? I have the ability to 3D print surgical grade stainless steel these days which has really opened up the world of possibilities. Hoping to start 3D printing ceramics again later this year or next year thanks to some recent advances in printable materials.

Custom handles are a huge part of accessories lineups.

I’ve been working on a way to turn the Qaromashop jade stands portable with a hot coil.

Could make kits to convert housings to wireless.

Avb storage jar with deep debowler and lid

All in one boxes for the whole kit to function out of, or to store the PID and stand neatly.

Stands to hold housing neatly, or bowls. Scoops, picks, Dabbers, tamp tools, brushes, speed loaders, coil guards, coil cord management stuff.

Head over to my website (Delta3DStudios.com) and fill out a contact form with some more info on the handles - that’s really something I could do if I have more info about mounting (square peg, screw mount, etc).

Avb storage jar with deep debowler and lid

I already sell an insert for the Jyarz Big Papi glass-lined storage container which turns it into a portable air-tight debowler. I also sell a smaller one for the jyarz Satchmo. I could make one for a standard 8 or 16-ounce glass mason jar if that would be preferable, but I think having a dark black container to conceal the material is more preferable.

All in one boxes for the whole kit to function out of, or to store the PID and stand neatly.

Yeah, I’ve considered doing custom box inserts, but the problem is they tend to be a bit too “Specific” to the individual user. I’d really like to build some sort of auto-generating code where the users can build their layouts and then order custom inserts for any size box, but we’re still a ways off from that dream.

Stands to hold housing neatly, or bowls. Scoops, picks, Dabbers, tamp tools, brushes, speed loaders, coil guards, coil cord management stuff.

I sell several custom “urchin style” stands which are easily customized to anyone’s needs. Just message me a list of diameters for hole slots and placements and I can make it happen.

I have a dream of designing a modular organizer stand at some point, but I am still tweaking the connection pins to lock everything together - trying to keep them low-profile but still printable by my hardware.

Have you looked into the TinyMight 2? I’m a huge fan of mine and it offers quite a bit of versatility. Good luck with the search, let us know what you pick!

Oh for sure I love the TinyMight2 and have handled it quite a bit it’s one hell of a beautiful device all around. I’ve already designed a line of slim cases for the vape and the stems. I’ve also designed a stainless steel drip tip mouthpiece with a helix twist internally to cool down the vapor flow. Eventually I plan on making a full stainless steel stem with a helix spiral internally and other internal designs to help smooth out the vapor even further.

Problem is the TM2 more of an exotic premium device only known among enthusiasts in the industry. I’m looking more at mid-priced units so I can design accessories for a larger audience.

If that’s the case, I think the ruffo is way more versitile than the avlp so more room for accessory creativity. But the avlp is more popular IMO so that’s something to think about too

Look up the Xmax “Oont”. They literally just announced it earlier this week, and it’s an ultra-budget battery powered vape at only $50. It actually tries to be respectable with regards to quality though, and it has a really unique stem/chamber design. I’m hoping retailers start selling them within the next week or two.

Only 2 I have are the airizer pro 2 and POTV one. I use the POTV more often, but the airizer has a crazy long battery life. But it’s old and the proprietary charger can ligma.

Do you mean the Arizer Solo2? For sure I love Airizer portables, I enjoy mine for flavor chasing. I have an Air1, Air2, and ArGo in my library already haha. The glass stem makes it easy to clean and preserve the flavor of the vapor. In fact I have some fresh strains and feel like it’s time to give my ArGo a good cleaning haha.

The POTV One is no slouch either. I have an upgraded version of it sitting next to me (the HealthyRips Rogue which has twice the battery capacity of the One, has USB-C charging, and a larger oven than the One with a slightly stronger heater - but overall similar shape/weight/feel in your hands)

Be sure to switch up devices once or twice a year to help reset your “Vape tolerances” - even if the POTV one is easier to charge, trust me switching devices helps reset tolerances a lot.

Pro tip - your Solo2 does have a proprietary charger, but did you know it has pass-through charging? Meaning you can use the device while it’s charging, while the POTV One does not, and will shut down when charging. So even 10 years from now when that Arizer battery is dead, the solo2 will still run using a charger as a power source.

Ah yep that’s the one! I haven’t looked at the name of that thing since I got it lol

I love both of them, but the potv one is my daily driver for now.

There’s a new potv vape coming out, from the sneak peak I saw of it, it looks like it’s gonna have more battery capacity which would be really nice.

I’ve had the airizer loaded up though to switch over for exactly what you said. I’ve missed that thing, it gives a lot more flavor but it’s easy to over do it for me with the bigger dry herb capacity lol

The pass through charging was the reason I accepted the crappie charger, but I usually vape outside and I don’t want to be tethered to the house. But when the battery does eventually fail I’ll make do because of it.

I love both of them, but the potv one is my daily driver for now.

Be sure to force yourself to switch back to the Solo2 every so often, it’s still a hell of a nice vape even these days. If you haven’t already, be sure to snag a waterpipe adapter stem for the Solo2 - that vape really shines when you vaporbong with it.

I’ve had the airizer loaded up though to switch over for exactly what you said. I’ve missed that thing, it gives a lot more flavor but it’s easy to over do it for me with the bigger dry herb capacity lol

Pro tip - you can “Microdose” with an arizer stem. Get a screen (I think a 1/2 inch diameter) and bend it into a “bowl” shape. Then carefully install the domed screen into the stem such that the pointy end sticks out and fills most of the oven space. This will force any loaded herb to the outside walls, but greatly reduce load sizes.

Another pro tip - be sure to start at a very low temp like 300F. The glass stems act a heatsink soaking heat away from the oven initially. Running the oven at a low temp to start allows it to heat up faster later for a more uniform extraction and better performance overall.

It seems you want an electronic device, right? Besides ruffo, the avlp can work too, also if you’re not afraid of 510s, vapes like dreamwood glow, cosmic xtractor or iHeat510 (good luck getting one lol) will suprise you with their good performance and versatality .

Well, I mean I love butane powered devices. I just ordered a bunch of parts for my Vapcap including the new titanium tip they just released (it just looks too cool not to have in my collection haha). I also really miss my Lotus vaporizer, so I’ll likely scoop one up now that Vapman owns the rights to the design and is selling new copies of the Lotus.

I have a few 510’s in my collection and to be honest, I’m just not a 510 guy. I don’t have good batteries, I don’t know the software well enough, so I usually use them in pulse mode where I surge heat to the oven by fiddling with the heat button. I actually have too many 510 vapes in my collection and not enough use to justify keeping them. I have a brand new RBT SplinterZ v2 sitting in the box which I think I’m going to sell in the classifieds - I know lots of people really liked those.

Have you handled the Ruffo or AVLP? I’ve heard good things about both, but do you have any personal experience? How would they compare to other devices in your collection?

That’s fair. I wish I could let you try my glow setup with TCR ^^

And unfortunately no. I have (so do you lol) a v3p and I heard it uses the same heater as the ruffo, but they tuned it a bit more in the ruffo. I think I saw a comparison thread at FC tho.

And honestly, if you don’t fix on accurate temp, but usable temp control, you can take a 510 that doesn’t have a huge coil (like glow, stempod, musa etc and unlike the Z), turn the temp to 245C, and tune the TCR so the coil glow lightly/barely glows. Then turn the temp down to around 175-180C and start climing until you find your sweet range of temps.

Hahaha yeah that’s way too much effort for me - I’ve had a few friends bring their 510 setups, and they can be fun. But I also have handled many desktops and just because you can cook fast and cloud chase isn’t always a good thing - there is a finite amount of vapor one’s lungs can absorb at one time. Some even argue that exhaled clouds is wasted vapor

I personally am more into flavor chasing over anything else lol

Yeah I 100% agree with u, I usually temp step from pretty low temps myself and mostly don’t even reach the 220C zone, even when there is some vapor left to extract. Anyway, for each their own haha there are many good devices out there these days so anyone can use whatever fits them the best :). BTW my glow gives flavors that compete with my firefly2 flavors, so that’s something too ^^

Lol yeah I usually prefer temps below 200C most of the time. Dang I forgot about my original Firefly2, I should dig it out and give it another spin. My biggest complaint was the design of the vapor path - it was a PITA to keep clean enough for my OCD needs haha

Yeah you have to clean it every bowl or two, but alcohol wipes are so handy for it, so if you get a kit with a few of them ready you’re all set.

My biggest complain is the proprietary battery. A standard ones would’ve been so much better. Avlp nailed both of these aspects I guess ^^
