It seems to fullfill a lot of the requirements that matrix does but its generally just nicer to host and use and the clients are snappy without all that jabascript app bloat.

Had no end of issues with matrix and xmpp feels like a huge upgrade by comparison.

So yeah wondering why its not that popular
