Microsoft is now in the process of turning off Manifest V2-based extensions in Edge, such as uBlock Origin. However, not everything is lost at this point.

    browsers turning off specific extensions which protect us.

    they shouldn’t even have a horse in this race. i mean we know why they do, but damn is it completely insane.

    what’s also fucked is how normalised this is becoming.

          Ungoogled Chromium exists. I wonder if it’d possible to do a version of Chomium that has the benefits of Edge without the downsides.

          I realize MS would still be tracking, but it’d be all work stuff, so I’m less concerned about it.

            Ungoogled Chromium which is even better as EDGE? There is only Vivaldi.
