Maybe I’m naive… I don’t think their ideology is developed enough, but there’s almost a kind of sense to it.

• Tech oligarchs want cheap, compliant labor.

• Push the ostensibly-protected native population out of the education pipeline for those jobs and into trades.

• Complain there aren’t enough graduates to meet that demand in the country.

• Increase the ability to import workers with tenuous legal status in the country.

• Also, as a bonus, end birthright citizenship to allow for maximum coercion in the event the imported worker has a child while in the country.

It all makes sense, kinda.
