Although I do like The Deathly hallows, Half Blood Prince takes the cake. The tale of Tom Riddle’s past, Slughorn, Felix Felicis, Draco’s reluctance to join the dark side and Dumbledore’s ultimate demise is very enthralling. Prisoner of Azkaban takes a sweet third place.

Most people who like Harry Potter or have fond memories of it don’t support or endorse JK Rowling’s views on Trans people.

But why publicly support the output of someone who promotes violence against transit people. To support her, to promote her books, is to support the same. Find a different fucking fantasy book

Easy for you to say, these books were many people’s entire childhoods. Also, liking and enjoying the books doesn’t mean you’re giving Rowling any money.

Y’know, acting like an asshole isn’t gonna help convince anyone. A lot of bullied and isolated kids turned to Harry Potter as a source of comfort.

lmao you don’t need to stop reading something you like to ‘protect trans kids’. Also, kicking your childhood to the curb is a very boomer take on what ‘growing up’ means.

It’s a book. As you said, it’s ’not that deep’.

Discussing something you like is totally fine. If you don’t like it, maybe don’t engage with it.
