No need for the hamster pfp guy @[email protected] to step down I mean this is a small issue that can be resolved very easily.

Like just take a break if you need to but chill nobody will give a shit in 1 month, you were just the messenger of the decision that all the mods and admins made collectively so its not your fault.

Youve done a good job so far and we need you so don’t go please.

What we really need is greater transparency and accountability from the mods and admins as a collective that is definitely not solved by the one of the most principled and responsible individuals going away as a “fall guy”.

        I am responsible

Akshually I disagree. I have no idea what happened tbh but it appears that for all intents and purposes you should be the last to resign because other than this current problem the site has run smoothly for the past few years. Although I guess you set up the system, if the other authorities behaved reasonably then this matter could have been avoided. I’m sure you know this but you are not responsible for other people’s bad behaviour.

Everyone makes mistakes, you’ve already made a sincere apology for the mistakes you made so it would follow logically that you would be an authority on how to resolve the matter, since you know why you were wrong and can thus play an advisory role for future efforts to make the site’s administration more democratically accountable so this situation does not repeat itself.

However you are a smart principled person and if you see it reasonable in the course of justice that you step down everyone should respect your decision. And if you need to take a break you’ve more than earned it.

At this moment, I will not nor ever in the foreseeable future step down. I live in a small and inconsequential part of the world, and the opportunity to steward a project that improves lives in the world is one of the most important things I can do.

We will change the internal system to increase transparency and get user input, but we want to wait a few weeks for things to settle down before opening up a new front.
