I was a little afraid they did some major nerf but he’s still a giant asshole. I guess I was always in the minority on this but I thought the OG fight with him should have been harder. I didnt get to fight him until after the patches, so I’m not really sure how much of a nerf that was. All the summons kind of did the job for you, so it would have been cooler to me if they only showed up after completing quests for them. If you beelined for the tournament no one shows up and you gotta fight him solo, kinda of thing.
Starscourge Radahn was a pain in the ass to fight before the nerf. He dealt more damage and was more aggressive, so you really couldn’t make any risky plays unless you had way more vigor and stamina than you’d need to reach the arena.
I never fought him pre-patch with magic, but I heard he used to dodge spells more often since he would finish an attack and quickly switch to an attack that moves him.
I’ve actually been curious for a long time about that, I kind of wish there was an easy way to roll back and try it pre-patch. Post patch Radahn always felt tragically easy, especially with his lore as being such a badass.
