Did /r/NBA mods even show support for the blackout? It’s one of reddit’s most popular subs, and I wouldn’t dare moderate such community without mod tools…
Yeah the users were very pissed from what I saw. To be honest that sub was getting pretty toxic and I was on it for over a decade. It’s nice to come out to a smaller community, reminds me of the old days.
Yeah hah I was a lurker there. I’ve just been getting into it really, so I don’t know ball super well and didn’t want to get post roasted for my ignorant takes lol. And the hate on “all the pussies that care so much about reddit” made me feel bad for the mods cus they probably cared (with good cause) and they deserved to make their own choice without getting shit on about it.

The responses to the blackout on /r/NBA are a big part of what convinced me that it was time to move on. It was so dismissive and toxic.
