I was looking at getting some roguelikes / lites (already have ToME, CoQ), unfortunately Cataclysm DDA is not on sale.

Krone Hotel at 90% off looks like a decent choice too. Then there’s Jupiter Hell, which I recently stumbled upon and looks great too.

I’d also like to get some of the FF games, though I’ve played VI, VII, IX and a bit of XII, it would be nice to revisit some of the older ones I haven’t played almost since the PSX era.

I finally picked up Graveyard Keeper and all the DLC. Really fun game and plays great on the Steam Deck.

It is unlikely that Cataclysm ever goes on sale, because the steam release basically is just a donation. You can get the game for free on the official website: https://cataclysmdda.org

There you can also donate other amounts than the Steam price.

@[email protected] If you buy the oldest FFs, 1-3, keep in mind that the versions on Steam have massive changes to game mechanics to make the games easier and more like FF7. I don’t think it does FF1 any favors because the difficulty was a lot of what the game had going for it on replays, but if you just want to say you beat FF1 the Steam version does the job.

I’m thinking of picking up SaGa Frontier myself. Does it seem worth $15 to people?

Necesse. It’s like top-down Terraria with colonists that organize your chests for you. Great early game content, anyway.

Not the guy you responded to, but I have experience with the game and stream deck.

The controller works fine, although I can’t help but think some buttons for actions are incorrect. Like cancel on one menu is one button, but a different button elsewhere. I believe controller support was somewhat recently added though so maybe it’s just not fully baked.

I suppose I could contact the author and let them know my feedback.

I’m grabbing Nier Automata finally. I have it on disc in ps4, but my ps5 is digital only. So it’s going to be great to play this absolute classic on sd

Fantastic game, just know that after you beat the game and they say you should play it again. They really really mean it lol. Most of the content comes after the first ending

    • Ori and the Blind Forest, after recently completing WotW.
    • GTA IV
    • Stanley Parable: ultra deluxe. Loved the first one.
    • The Beginner’s Guide

Some local multiplayer games to play with my partner on the dock:

    • It Takes Two
    • Unravel 1 & 2
    • ibb and obb
    • Pummel Party
    • Sonic All-Stars Racing

I also considered Hollow Knight and Dead Cells, but prefer to get games on GOG when available.

SOMA is one of those games I wish I could forget and play again for the very first time.

I get scared easily, I’ll probably shit my pants but I heard great things about the story and atmosphere so I’ll give it a try.

Without spoiling anything, the atmosphere can get tense but it’s never a cheap jump scare type of thing. You’ll pretty much be more appreciative of all the “horror” details than you will be scared.

It’s so worth it, one of those games that sticks with you long after you’ve finished it.
