2022’s Dragon New Warm Mountain… by Big Thief is definitely worth checking out if you haven’t already. It scratches the same thing for me but with more of a folk twist, plus I genuinely believe Adrienne Lenker is the best songwriter who’s active right now.
If you listen to it from the start, the first three tracks may turn you off if you don’t like country, but after that it’s pretty straight lofi indie folk.

I like Big Thief’s albums, but I think they really shine live. They can put on a great set!
