Look, there’s a very simple answer here - standardized testing. The hordes of people yearning to post on hexbear will not be discouraged by a volume of text or two which they must read and then pass a test on in order to create an account (entrance exams).

In order to maintain an account in good standing, all accounts must regularly undergo testing on some randomly chosen Marxist text from a list determined The People’s School Board (it will be all Marxists texts of course, all of them).

Failure to pass bimonthly testing will put your account in bad standing and you will become unable to post to or see “fun” coms (badposting, the_dunk_tank, shrekland) until your standing improves. Only theory comms will be viewable and only questions or commentary on theory will not be removed. Failure to pass even one test within a year will result in a ban.

Chainsaw Man, I also enjoyed Fire Punch. I was reading Trail of Blood by Oshimi Shuzo, but it finally ended and I’ve read pretty much all of his other stuff too - Welcome Back, Alice ended kinda quick, but maybe for good reason.

Other than those two artists, I haven’t found others I enjoy yet. I’m reading through Yotsuba in Japanese and, though it can be funny, it’s mostly for reading practice.

I felt like I was losing my mind when I actually watched the first episode of that anime after it was suggested everywhere - the pedo stuff is extremely obvious from the start and it was always played off as something funny or whimsical. I think that was the last time I gave watching anime a chance and just started reading manga from artists I like.

Passengers really pissed me off, it takes some real skill to take such a good premise and turn it into whatever the fuck that movie was. Mario movie didn’t make me hate as an actor, it was obvious slop. Passengers did because the premise baited me into watching slop when I was expecting existential horror.

E: I would say it made me hate Lawrence as an actress too, but she actually expressed regret for starring in it at least.

Was also forced into it (baseball, such a boring sport only topped by golf) and didn’t like it, however I got into playing ice hockey as an adult and I wished so much that I had started playing as a kid cause it’s so fucking fun.

E: not trying to advocate for forcing kids into a sport here, more what I was going for was that getting into a sport of your own volition as an adult is way better for being engaged (fuck I would have loved to compete in hockey though)
