There are few discussions I have in my daily life that can’t be made more entertaining by adding “If not, there’s always trebuchets.”
Thank you for enriching my future conversations!
Locking a post could very well be interpreted as a form of sanctioning.
Are we at the point of defending clumsy, hamfisted attempts at satire just because they’re meant to be satire?
“checks notes” really needs to fucking die.
Possibly because they can’t keep the posts from showing up on .world; or better yet, block the thoughts from forming to begin with.
They’re making a stretch of a reference to the Cornetto trilogy, three Edgar Wright films featuring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.

I’ll bite. Do you want an actual answer, or do you just want the opportunity to publicly clutch your pearls?
Nah, 5mm is a fifth of an inch. 5cm would be 2 inches.
Which is which?
I see using they/them as choosing not to engage with gender at all, so I cannot fathom a circumstance in which it would be misgendering to use such pronouns. If the argument against is that someone in refusing to address one by their preferred gender, I can see some merit in that position, but ultimately I believe one cannot force another to engage with them in terms of gender.
Now, if one were to intentionally use masculine pronouns to refer to someone who wishes to be addressed in feminine or nonbinary terms, of course that meets the definition of active misgendering. But I believe anyone has the right to simply refuse to interact with another with regards to gender by using common, nongendered pronouns respectfully.
This is Ash erasure, and I won’t have it.
Do you like to play the drums?
English is so inconsistent at this point.
At this point? At this very point, specifically due to the historically valid usage of one gender neutral pronoun? Now is the time that it’s finally become an inconsistent language? Singular “they” is the thing that has pushed English over the edge from logical and sensical to arbitrary and confusing? Of all the foibles and quirks, this is the one that is simply unforgivable and must be changed?
Devil’s advocate: becoming an oncologist takes far longer than joining the police force.

It’s not flag abuse. It’s clearly written in the instance TOS.
“We do not tolerate threats of and calls for violence in any form against any living creature.”
The Utah DLD has easily found information on their website regarding mental health and driving privileges. On dld.utah.gov/drivers, under the section “Medical Standards for Drivers” you can find a list of medical categories pertaining to drivers. Specifically, Category G relates directly to mental health, and seems to entrust health care providers with broad discretionary power per my reading.
If you have more trouble navigating their site than I did, the direct link to the .pdf detailing the safety levels associated with Category G is https://dld.utah.gov/wp-content/uploads/sites/17/2024/08/Category-G-2024.pdf.
