The 24 pack of unsweetened applesauce has a different texture than the 12 pack. This is the second time I’ve fallen for this scheme. At first I thought it was a bad batch but now i think they’re watering it down. Now I have to deal with 24 packs of mediocre applesauce.

I enjoyed it too. What makes it good is beetlejuice beetlejuice not relying on nostalgia and glory of the original and instead have a new plot. It’s not as good as shrek 2 but a good sequel regardless.

I’m not talking about the use of the ATM by pressing buttons, I’m talking about the functions it serves. The functions that an ATM performs were once functions only a bank tellar did but we’re not against ATM because it was automates task for the better. Self checkout requires nothing but scanning a barcode for me (before self checkout, I bagged for myself and paid for myself; things I carried over).

My point being, ATM have been around long enough that we don’t even regard those task as labor anymore, which is okay and will be how self checkout looks. Bank tellars can focus on people who have other questions. Grocery workers can focus on stock, albiet most stores I go to still have checkout lanes open. The grocery owner will underpay and price gouge.

Fight clubs should be legal. We need a place to beat each other up for a little bit then go have a beer after. At least, that’s how it works in frostpunk.

The task of the ATM used to solely be performed by bank tellars. Looking up accounts, checking balance, taking out the money, depositing checks, etc. It was all automated for self service, which is good as it frees up tellars responsibilities, but necessary labor before.

Just curious, how do you feel about ATMs for banking instead of the tellar? Although I agree labor is labor, freeing up a task for a cashier/grocery worker so they can focus on something else is a win. If I see a grocery cart far from the return stack, I’ll move it. That’s somebody’s job, but I don’t see it as free labor.

If I’m scanning groceries for somebody else then sure but if it’s just my own stuff, it’s not work. Take pumping gas, some locations do it for you but if I’m pumping it myself, I’m not doing work for fre.

My first question whenever someone saying "X group commits Y% of crimes eventhough they’re only Z% of the population"is asking why are we splitting crimes into race/religion? What are we gaining if we’re only focusing on a subset of the aggressors? Sometimes people can recognize it’s just racism after they’re asked.

Regarding feminist critique of Islamophobia, I don’t have any. I don’t think Muslim women are any more or less oppress than other women of the world, like in the Congo or India. I think it’s oppression that can be directly tied to something else and is not necessarily the religion or race. (Though, I could argue women in the Congo or Palestine are “more” oppressed at the moment due to the active genocides but that’s another conversation.)

I argued with someone on stormfront once about how “i could care less” when used sarcastically could still be some form of correct. I got mass downvoted for it.

It’s generally used wrong but if said in a 2000s sitcom “I just discovered, I could care less, thank you!” laugh track way it won’t translate to “I don’t care” but instead “I found, I could care less than what I thought”
