I recently struggled through installing the first alpha on a virtual box setup and unfortunately after all that, the desktop wouldn’t ever load. It seemed to get stuck in a loop trying to initialize the video mode. I may wait until it’s at a beta state to try again because that was a letdown. I’m hopeful this DE is what they’re hoping to achieve eventually! And I understand alphas aren’t going to be stable I just really wanted to play with it!

Apparently everyone ITT has had 100 times more trouble with Google maps than I ever have had. Seriously entire categories of problems I’ve never experienced. Google maps has never tried to make me drive through a yard or field for example. Been using it since before it was a smartphone app.

Every time I navigate with Google maps somewhere while someone else going to the same location uses apple maps, they have trouble and I have none whatsoever. It’s pretty consistently that way

My point is that the word censorship carries a connotation of trying to suppress certain types of speech. While that may be true in some cases, for the most part if I get moderated it’s for an opinion I can understand or disagree with. In either case it’s an opinion. I’m not a victim. On some instances though, yeah censorship is kind of a thing. On .ml, anything seen as not extremely left wing gets deleted or banned, and that’s bad. But I can just avoid that shitty instance. No one owes me the “right” to be heard in every context.

In America, “piss off” can mean “leave”, but “pissed off” means angry (usually, depending on context it can also mean left). “fuck off” means “leave”, while “fucked off” either means “left” or “screwed around”. It’s complicated haha. In this post, I guess “fucked off” could’ve meant “left” too, but that reads very awkwardly to me so I decided against that theory. Then others are telling me it can mean angry, or least I’m taking their responses to mean that, so I’m thinking OOP meant that here. But maybe I’m still confused! /shrug

You can use a diff app directly such as meld which is free. Highly recommend.

Have you tried a client that you can filter posts by keyword? You could just add trump or something similar to your filtered word list.
