I agree with him, but I’d also like to know who a reboot would be for.

The Wire rode, and is still remembered for, the excellent writing and acting. Shit, even doing a scene repeating one word was fucking stellar. A reboot isn’t going to have the same teams working on it. You’re not going to keep fans of the original, so you’re looking at trying to only pull in new blood for a show that is remembered as absolutely golden.

They did fucking stellar work with the character growth. I normally hate the “you need to give it a couple seasons” kind of thing, but Venture Bros did so well to have a moment where you feel the tone start to change, and somehow, the goofier start ends up working in the shows favor.

I’m still untangling things, in my own way, but I can also recognize the strides I’ve been able to make with it.
