I mean, I also acknowledged them as philosophical dilemmas in another comment, but I suppose it is my own fault for not clarifying that in the first.

Very interesting stuff, thank you!
Albeit the post seems a bit esoteric for lemmyshitpost without the extra context
Well obviously it is a philosophical dilemma, but the dozens of ironic variations created for memes gave it a different purpose as meme template.
Otherwise it would be a lot less well known i would guess, under normal circumstances you encounter this perhaps once or twice during your education unless you actively take an interest in such musings. Due to the memes I probably come across the drawing once per week if not more
Not op, no idea either. Best I can make of it is some sort of surrealist fifth level multi layered reference to several memes at once? The only one I know is the trolley problem one
Yes of course, not utilizing the resources in the waste is entirely illogical in a zero resources environment. Just that we would probably run it through some sort of purification system first to break down the dangerous contents
We dont fertilize our agriculture with human waste as is, there are far too many diseases and such to be transmitted. I believe the north koreans are doing this, and are often suffering from parasites and disease transmitted this way.
To use it on the moon they would need bioprocessors first that break down the waste thoroughly
Having the pixel buds myself, I feel your pain. Do a little bit of physical activity and at least one side gets loose and slippery.
I found that I simply dont have symmetrical ear canals, I use the mid size plug on one and the smallest plug on the other ear. That way they seem to fit somewhat reliably.
Dont you worry, mint provides a detailed step by step tutorial on how to do things:

My mind went here:
Those terms are just abbreviations to hide the ugly word though. How would you describe a person with a narcistic personality profile without using the term narcistic, or alternatives with even more overtly negative connotations such as selfish, egotistical, demanding, antisocial, obnoxious, dismissive, and so forth?
I understand the value of inclusive language, but it should not obstruct communication.
It is literally the official technical term for a person with narcistic personality traits, we call those people narcissists. Granted that has a distinct negative connotation, but that is simply due to what kind of person narcissists overwhelmingly are. In fact I would be hard pressed to find alternative terms that are accurate and not equally or more “offensive”.
Respectfully, I dont read anyone’s bio. If you ask me to use your preferred pronouns in interactions with you that’s fine with me, capitalization isnt a pronoun though. (How would that even apply in verbal communication?)
Narcissist isnt a slur, it is simply the proper word for a person with certain pronounced character traits which amount to a narcissistic personality… In fact your whole reply reads like a bad faith or troll response on second read.
Lastly I am neurodivergent myself, having ADHD. Not sure why that matters anyway
I went and looked at your cited post, and am confused what you are upset about. People disagreeing with you? People thinking an argument for Donald trump in the name of inclusivity is absurd?
I also noticed that you claim yourself to be a narcissist, and find it somewhat ironic that you choose to try and take down/over a community over a lukewarm response to your narcissism argument, being quite narcissist yourself in doing so.
That being said any unmoderated community should be assigned to (a) new caretaker(s).
My personal belief still is that the prohibitive approach is futile and ultimately more harmful than the alternative: embrace the technology, promote it and create deepfakes of everyone.
Soon the taboo will be gone, the appeal as well, and everyone will have plausible deniability too, because if there are dozens of fake nudes of any given person then who is to say which are real, and why does it even matter at that point?
This would be a great opportunity to advance our societal values and morals beyond prudish notions, but instead we double down on them.
E: just to clarify I do not at all want to endorse creating nudity of minors here. Just point out that the girl in the article wouldn’t have to humiliate herself trying to do damage control in the above scenario, because it would be entirely unimportant.
Am a bazzite user myself, and haven’t had those issues at all. I would recommend joining the discord as well, they have a reasonably active community there
Not op, but i dont care much for the show myself either. I used to, when it was new and something different, but I believe I have grown past the pseudointellectual, but actual college humor. It just hits different these days
Fair points, but this is also a numbers game, and the vast majority of people is not romantically interested, or rather, compatible with them. Seems logical to me that people end up alone more often under those circumstances
You think a company producing weeb games can’t do this at the behest of a totalitarian government?
Okay then
If the does dont find you handsome they should at least find you handy lethal
Dont forget that the vast majority of users either doesnt know Linux, distrusts Linux, has heard rumors at any point in time about some feature or component not working as perfectly as under windows, is uninterested in computers beyond their daily usage function, or finds themselves in a social circle or job environment hostile to Linux.
What Linux needs to get widely adopted is settle for one central distro, iron out all bugs and compatibility issues and do a bunch of testing with windows users to determine what differences they are confused by. The goal must be to create total feature and compatibility parity with windows, and make the whole process so incredibly simple that even absolute morons with zero interest in computers can both use it instinctively and not miss anything their windows used to do. Then run a massive adoption campaign.
Now I know many aspects of this are directly opposed to the fos ethos, but if Linux ever wants to claim market share they need to spend big on it and pick up the users where they are; in a place of zero user ability and a lot of ignorance.
