Maybe capacity is to the point where military planners are willing to give up stock of some missiles. But if I’ve taken anything away from the Russo-Ukranian war, it’s that quantity of weapons systems is incredibly important. There’s a heck of a lot of targets to hit in China.

However if the US is in a position to send JASSM to Ukraine, I will be excited. Personally, I’m very excited to see what weapons systems that Ukraine can now use since it has F-16. Especially with JDAM-ER which the Russians have shown the effectiveness of.

The resurgence of the ATACMs is aimed at Ukraine and Europe as a whole. Especially Poland and its massive HIMARS fleet on order. It would definitely be useful in the Pacific, but from what I see in the procurement requests, it’s mostly for foreign order. It’s a major move though, seeing as new production of the ATACMs was terminated in 2007.

The problem with these long range Standoff munitions is that they’re sorely needed in the indo-pacific region if there’s ever a war with China. (Likely to be within the next few years) It’s going to give some pause to US planners as range is at a premium there. I don’t see JASSM going to Ukraine myself, as these missiles are reserved for a fight with China. However, it may be a useful move to get Europe to chip in for long range munitions.

Do the math, if you are at 1,000 feet and the descent rate is 4,000 feet, you have one quarter or a minute – 15 seconds – to find a place to land.

It’s more about altitude than the ability to glide. Helicopters can do what’s called Auto rotation, which means they actually can glide. If the blade seize up however, they can’t autorotate. Helicopters fly a lot lower than most airplanes though, so they can’t glide as far.

F-22 isn’t in production anymore and it would be very expensive to start up production again. Much of the capacity to produce F-22 has been taken up by other programs such as F-35 meaning that they would need new capacity.

They actually had the opportunity to produce more F-22s with the Japanese government offering to buy and put forward a lot of money to produce more, but the US didn’t see the need for more of an air superiority platform

F-22 specializes in Air Superiority or clearing the skies. It wasn’t made for air to ground (even though it can do it today) In Afghanistan, there wasn’t a need for more air superiority

(Everything from the work of our hands to our minds to our relationships to wealth) He who is given much should use them and not keep them hidden away for later

Talent refers to money in the literal sense (Or more accurately a weight for metals which could be traded as money) It is a large amount of money.

The parable of the wedding feast is about people neglecting their faith and still expecting to be a part of the Kingdom of God. It’s not about how much money they have, but instead if they actually practice their faith. If you know the scriptures, but say you’ll be righteous later, then you’re that person who isn’t clothed for the feast. We are called to keep our faith and grow faith in others with the gifts that God gives us.

Supply Side Jesus on the other hand tells us that it’s not worth investing our time and resources into people who are poor, and that instead the rich will lead us to have an efficient church. That is fundamentally backwards to Christianity, as it is the poor, the hurt and the suffering who need it the most. There’s a reason why some churches put the Beatitudes in their liturgy.
