It is indeed a lie. If it were true the Jewish diaspora would be speaking Arabic and not languages such as Yiddish which developed over a longer period of time and have clear European roots. There are however Jewish people who do speak Arabic all across the Middle East, and whose distinct identity Zionists generally refuse to recognize, such as with Palestinian Jews.
