Another grande Monty Python sketch
Blame English for having the rule for possessive form being “apostrophe s” on every word except “it.”
The way it makes a little since if you think of its as the gender neutral form of his and her. It is still stupid, but slightly more remeberable.

I’ve used this description to explain to people how I felt going to two jobs in a row where they promised the same thing and pulled it out from under me a few months in. I’m now in third of such role and we’ll see. My trust is pretty thin note these days.
