I’m glad, this sets a good precedent for creators prioritizing their craft over their fame. Bit sad tho, really liked him, but I don’t think much will change for their channels.

What? When has MatPat EVER put his craft ahead of fame and money? I haven’t watched in forever, but I recall him churning out content almost as if he were an LLM.

And? That doesn’t contradict my perspective of him at all. There are plenty of reasons to retire beside what you’re inferring.

Inferring? That’s what he said, lmao you keep responding like you didn’t watch the thing you’re talking about.

And I didn’t say anything about your perspective, nor money, you’re just delusional

that seems to be what he’s trying to set up, keep the channels still in their niche while personally departing. I’m genuinely happy for him prioritizing himself over fame, but it’s sad to see such a big name step away.

    'Tis a sad day.

Some of his videos are cocaine-fueled chaos. His dark energy will be sorely missed.

He’s one of the few people that you can openly hate on the internet, where half of the fandom will readily agree.

One of the open secrets about people like Mattpat and other personalities is that the personalities are not real. What we see is an act.

I firmly believe that he would be in a much better place if he stuck to brand building, where a lot of his hard-earned talent lays.
