This was a Lenovo. Now I’m wondering if Windows or Linux has a better BIOS.

It’s a tiny operating system in itself. You use the BIOS to boot other operating systems.

The original spec of the BIOS that we still follow today came from the original IBM PC, and it was inspired by CP/M.
