I fail to see why a separate (but equal?) system is needed, and why access to it should be limited by race. If we fight racism with more racism and implement racial gatekeeping for access to government programs, it ensures that racism is codified into law long after the issues it was meant to address have passed.
Shall we make different alert systems for every racial group and every melanin level? Republicans will have a field day with this one.
