I consider “maga” to be mostly a nonsense word to give cover to the fact that the Republican Party is full of Republicans. They’ve hated women’s lib for wayyyy longer than they started using that nonsense baby-talk word. I don’t think there should be any distinction drawn between the teabaggers that rebranded themselves as “maga” and the Republican Party.
They are essentially the same thing, and have always stood for this kind of stuff, no matter the window dressing they used to put on it before. Their code words like “family values” were not fooling anyone…
