Unpopular opinion but I really like this gen’s exterior design, peak Accord even. Thank heavens this isn’t Reddit or I would immediately be stoned by the hivemind lol.

I absolutely HATED the previous designs of the Accord and Civic. I thought they looked childish and stupid. I’d never consider driving one.

The most recent updates look way more classy and refined. I’m actually considering a new Accord for my next vehicle.

The last generation Accord looked fantastic. No idea why anyone could possibly hate it.

This new one looks so insanely boring that they should have labeled it the Metalonin Edition.

Honda has absolutely lost all their former mojo. It’s sad to see.

The prior version of the accord and civic (especially the civic) both suffered from being overdone. Big globs of fake chrome, oversized front grilles, fake vents everywhere, stupid spoilers, unnecessary folds & creases in body panels, goofy-shaped tail lights….

It was all too much. They looked like they were designed by hyperactive teenage boys to appeal to hyperactive teenage boys.

I’m glad if they look a little more “boring” (what you call boring I call mature and refined). Something an adult can drive without embarrassment.

You can do sporty/edgy/flashy without overdoing it (ie: Mazda). Honda overdid it with the previous gen. A step backwards was the correct move.

But hey, maybe I’m just boring. I do like my stock Jetta!

What ever happened to the 9th gen accord design? Much closer to classic accord styling. The 7th gen was a departure, and the 8th kinda steered back, but 9th gen accord is peak accord design IMO.

It’s much more reminiscent of the 6th gen and older designs. 10th gen is good, but definitely different.

Is it really unpopular? I fucking love the current gen civic and accord design. Both exterior and interior. Confident and functional.

From what I’ve seen the internet loves to hate the 11th gen Accord, especially on subreddits like r/cars, r/Honda and a few other Accord subs.

Y’know, just a few months ago if you posted the same comment on r/Accord people would come in and reply shit like “Honda salesman detected 😭😭😭” or “are you 40”. And it gets worse if you actually own one and post it on the same sub, unfortunately.

Looks like it stole design inspiration from a 2016ish Hyundai Sonata / Kia Optima, which I believe were designed by a former Audi designer. This one also looks like stolen Audi design. Maybe same designer.

Disagree, those cars look WAY louder than the Accord, especially Audi cars with the oversized edgy front intake that has been going on for a while.

The only thing I really dislike about Honda styling right now is the “underbite” look they have on the front. The previous gen had the opposite, almost a pig nosed look. Why can’t they just do normal front designs?

I love the rear this generation and how they toned the entire look down, but they can’t figure out front grills to save their life it seems.

I never liked the new accord styling, but aside from the looks, I feel that it really is the perfect “just a car” car. There’s nothing too flashy about it, but it ticks all the boxes your everyday person needs for them and their family. I wish they would harken the style back to the older accords, but even still, they are the best mid ground for just about every category consumers want.

I really liked the 2004/2005 coupe styling. Sleek with a hint of fun, but not overboard like the type R. Newer Accord coupes took on a busines-like look; like owners have grown up and lost their pizazz.

I know I’m totally in the minority here, but its nice to see an old coupe on the roads now and then, even with the terribly faded paint.
