That sucks, I basically found my love for hockey at college in Rochester listening to Buffalo games and watching the Sabres on TV.
One of the few commentators whose name I know and not because of negative reasons (looking at you Millbury).
RIP legend.
The only memory that I have of my grandfather is from the early 80’s. I was very young, and sitting in his lap while he watched a Sabres game. I don’t remember the game, but I remember Jeanneret’s voice doing the play by play, and it always reminds me of my grandfather now. I am almost 50 now, and I can close my eyes and hear his voice in my head and it just instantly takes me back to my childhood, much happier times in the living room in the evenings watching the games…
This is super melancholy news.
