This coming from the same police bureau where the union head leaked a false report that a city council member who had gone toe-to-toe with them was involved in a hit-and-run crash. I’m shocked! Shocked, I tell you! And then when said police officer was fired, arbitrators reinstated him. If that level of abuse of power get excused, I don’t know what to tell you.

And it did have a lasting effect. When the city council member came up for reelection, I was talking with a friend about that position. She didn’t known that the report was false.
